Winter Solstice Celebration

I know... I know... it's not even Halloween yet, and here we are plugging our community Yule event.  It's because we really want you to be able to come join us!
Not only do we have a beautiful new community ritual (written by the fine folks of Brighid's Forge), but we will have a sumptuous feast and an amazing raffle!  But that's not all!  We also have a kids area with activities to help keep the kids busy until you-know-who shows up!  That's right... Father Winter has promised to stop by for a visit!
So while your heart is full at the thought of all that fun, let me help fill your hands up with stuff to bring.  Pagans of the Inland Empire (PIE) is holding a canned food drive and will be on hand to collect your donations.  We are also gathering items for Operation Circle Care again this year, so please consider bringing something for our deployed pagan military members.  As always, we welcome you're raffle donations and your contributions to the potluck... the stuff you brought last year was delicious!
Please say you'll join us!  Put it in your calendar now, before you forget!  Don't worry... I'll send a few reminders... promise!

Touchstone's 9th Annual Psychic Fair Sept. 28th

Can you believe it?  This will be our 9th Psychic Fair!

This year we have a change in locale... we are proud to announce that our Psychic Fair will be a part of the Inland Empire's Pagan Pride Day & Harvest Fair!  So please come join us at the California Citrus Historical Park in Riverside... and make sure you visit their website and print their flyer!  That way you can park for free!  Admission for the day is free with the donation of one canned food item ~ all food donations will go to the Yucaipa Valley Inter-Faith Food Bank.

If you'd like to purchase your tickets in advance (which is the only way to get free tickets) please call Zenah at the Enchanted Crystal (909) 867-1190.

So come join us for a fun filled day and enjoy the vendor booths, the arts & crafts, the live entertainment... and US!

Family Fun Picnic Thank you!

I want to thank everyone for joining us at the Family Fun Picnic yesterday!  We had a blast!
The kids area was a big hit!  "Kid" translates into actual child or kid-at-heart.  Although the broomstick races were canceled (we ran out of time) they had beading, games, puzzles and potholder looms!  Yes, I totally re-entered my childhood and made a potholder while I was at the welcome table.

We had three different tarot card readers, and a chant workshop in between drawings for the raffle (which had some awesome stuff!)  One of my favorite moments was one of our guests saying that she never wins anything, raffles are just her way of tithing just before her ticket was drawn!

The weather was beautiful (as long as the breeze stayed) and we had local folks in attendance as well as folks from farther afield (a three hour drive!)  Thanks to everyone's generosity, we were able to donate 164 pounds of dog & catfood to the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley!  Well done everyone! Thank you for making it a such a fun event!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! New Meeting Location

Now that I've got your attention, I'm pleased to announce that we have a new meeting location!  Starting with our next meeting, Monday, May 6th, we'll be at Ye Old Lamplighter Restaurant and Pub.  They're located at 255 E 40th St in San Bernardino (in the center where the old Stater Brother's was).

They are one of the oldest surviving bars in San Bernardino, and have been around for nearly 50 years!  They also say they have the best steaks in San Bernardino, so you may want to come early to order food.

Monday special: Mondays (dinner) $1.50 beef tacos, $3 fish tacos and other Mexican dishes

Want to join us for dinner?

Please consider enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner (or all three!) at Mimi's Cafe in Fontana on Monday, February 4, 2013.

If you present the flyer below, Mimi's will generously donate 15% of your total bill to Touchstone Local Council. This is a great way to raise money for TLC and enjoy some great company and good conversation at the same time!

Most of the Touchstone folks are planning on arriving at 7:00 pm if you'd actually like to sit and chat with us. Please feel free to print out as many copies as you wish and pass the word on to family and friends!
